What follows are the basic guidlines for the RaveStation forum!


1) If you manage to post the same post two times (not easy to do but possible) use the DELETE function also in the bottom right corner of the post.

2) No mention of illicit substances, EVER! No dealing, no reports, no questions, nothing. It is not good enough to exchange the word 'pill' to 'flowers' or anything of the like.

3) Friendly jokes are allowed (of course, otherwise we'd refer you to make friends with Hitler) but keep it to that, 90% of the people who use this forum are mature enough to know where the line is and to not step over it, and most of you are friends and we realise your just having a jest.

4) Moderators reserve the right to shut down threads as they see fit.

5) Moderators have been given the job to do this because the head honchos believe they have fair and just judgement and they will not abuse there power... (if they do it will only be a little LOL =).

6) The number of posts one has is no correlation to how “hardcore” they are so do not post for the sake of bumping your total up.

7) No one on this forum is better then/greater than anyone else, we are all equals and should be treated as such.

8) Do not blatantly abuse people if you have a beef with someone send them a PM, saves us Admins/Mods alot of work.

9) The content of any given discussion is to stay on topic (within reason), in regard to the discussion title.

10) Some threads are treated as light-hearted fun, while others are more serious, and will be moderated as such. Without listing every thread, an exapmle would be "Sites of the day" is restricted to posts with a url only, while "the Rant thread" is a bit of a free-for-all thread.

1) If a flame war does get out of hand, we will give all those involved a stern warning and delete the posts (and we couldn’t give two bits of bottom piss who started it.) We reserve the right to suspend/ban members who are repeat offenders (otherwise known as 'shit-stirrers').

12) This is a public forum, and should be treated as such. Posts should be relevant and directed to the greater mass, not one or two individuals. Anything deemed 'personal' should be kept to email, icq, msn, telephone, pm's, messenger pigeon, morse code etc etc.

13) Posting images, avatars or attachments that contain pornography, nudity or anything deemed to be offensive is not allowed.

14) All moderators decisions are final. If a post is deleted, or discussion closed, one or more of the above critera have been breached. Moderators do not have to defend their actions to the public members, and while it is not expected that you will always agree with decisions made by moderators, it is asked you respect the time and effort they put in. Moderators are people too.

15) If you feel you are being singled out and treated unfairly by moderator(s) please contact admin, by E-Mail (ravestation@optusnet.com.au) or by Private Messages. We will do our best to resolve any issues that may exist.

16) The majority of you lovely people already do these simple things (also known as common sense) and you all deserve a gold star or something shiney, so keep on post whoring and enjoy the forums.
